What is the Peer Teaching Activity?
The peer teaching activity is a classroom method where students explain a topic to other
students.
Instead of listening only to the teacher, they share what they know with a partner or in a
small group. One student might describe something they know, solve a problem, or lead a
conversation.
In peer teaching, when students are assigned to teach something, they have to think about
what they know. When they describe something, they might realize that they have a better
understanding of that concept. This is peer learning through discussion and understanding.
The benefits of peer teaching approach are that the students can also ask questions that
bring in new ideas. This is why learning is not passive.
