What is the Video Podcast Activity?
The Video Podcast is a collaborative group activity where participants create a short video
episode focused on a specific topic such as Current Events, Technology Trends, Industry
Analysis, or Educational Insights. Students select a podcast format, Interview, Panel
Discussion, Storytelling, or Monologue, and plan content according to the chosen length: Short,
Medium, or Long
The activity emphasizes structured content delivery with three main sections: Introduction, Main
Discussion, and Conclusion. During the Main Discussion, students present research findings using
statistical data, case studies, expert interviews, or literature insights. The podcast
integrates audio and visual elements, such as background music, slides, or images, to maintain
audience engagement and enhance understanding.
Students also incorporate a call-to-action at the end, encouraging the audience to subscribe,
share, comment, or explore additional resources. This ensures the podcast not only informs but
also engages and builds interaction with the target audience.
The activity develops skills in research synthesis, scriptwriting, clear communication,
technical recording, and collaborative teamwork, allowing students to translate complex
information into accessible, engaging content.
